Multiple size estimates put Deinonychus at an overall length between 9′-16′ (2.74-4.88 m) and a weight between 160-220 lb (73-100 kg), and its fossils have been recovered from the U.S. states of Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma, in rocks of the Cloverly Formation and Antlers Formation.
